Antifa: The rise of left wing fascism.

Antifa are an organisation of ‘anti-fascists,’ though I use the term so loosely that it slides right off the bones of Antifa like rotting flesh, revealing the jagged skeleton of fascism.

There’s a quote often mistaken to originate from Winston Churchill, though its actual origin is more likely to be that of Huey Long a populist politician from the state of Louisiana in the 1930’s. The quote can be summarised as follows:

“When Fascism comes to America, it will (be in the name of/come under the guise of/be called) anti-Fascism!”

Huey was arguing a point about fascism, that it isn’t so easily identifiable as a swastika. His point was that fascism is first and foremost an ideology, and that anyone can display it. It would almost be humorous the coincidence that the fascists of America call themselves anti-fascists, if it weren’t for the fact that none of this is funny.
At the time fascism was on the rise in Germany, and it came under the guise of the Nazi party. Since the term Nazi is now forever conjoined with fascism people have a tendency to forget that the Nazi party was actually called ‘The National Socialist German Workers’ Party’ which in German is Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei; the Nazi part came from the first word Nationalsozialist(ische).
The Nazi’s rose to power through a variety of means, one of which, was the disguise of socialism, which can be summed up as ‘a range of economic and social systems characterised by social ownership and democratic control of the means of production.’ (At least that’s what Wikipedia says from 10 sources, I’d recommend you read those individual sources as if I were to cite them all this post would go on and on and on…)

Now here’s where it gets interesting. The Nazi party used their guise of being a party for the people to systematically attack those that they claimed were a danger to the people, they achieved this by using the propaganda value of attacks against them to consolidate their power.
For instance Hitler and the Nazi party used the Reichstag fire as an excuse to deprive people of civil liberties and silence opposition, they did this through the ‘Reichstag Fire Decree.’ This bares striking similarity to how elements on the left-wing are using examples of ‘hate crimes’ to justify silencing those who speak out against them on the right. The resemblance does not stop there though, as with the fact that several historians endorse the theory that the Nazi’s were directly responsible for the fire and orchestrated it so to have an excuse to retaliate, several ‘hate crimes’ against the left have been proven to have been committed by the left in order to incite a response. To those who are skeptical of my claim allow me to present the evidence that supports it:

• Adam Saleh and Delta Airlines: A YouTube prankster claims he was thrown of a Delta airlines flight because he was Muslim and other passengers were uncomfortable with him speaking arabic to his mother on the phone. Yet statements from the flight crew and other passengers on the flight directly contradict his claim. This is also in line with Mr Saleh’s other works where he lies to gain publicity, such as an incident where he faked a NYPD stop and frisk and had to come clean.
• A Mississippi church predominately used by African-Americans was burnt down and ‘vote-Trump’ graffiti was left behind: This was proven to be the actions of a black man in the community who wanted to make it look like a politically motivated crime had occurred.
• The phrase ‘n*gg*r lover’ was spray-painted on a white man’s garage door and his truck and motorcycle set alight: This was revealed to all be done by the homeowner who used the incident for personal financial gain.
• A University of Michigan student told police  a man threatened to set her hijab on fire if she didn’t remove it: Police discovered that the woman in question made the whole thing up.
• Nazi Swastikas were left on walls at Long Island College: Only police discovered that it was a Muslim student who was responsible and who deliberately tried to frame it as being the actions of white supremacists.
• Ms. Seweid, of Long Island, told the police that three white men screaming “Donald Trump!” attacked her on Dec. 1 on an uptown No. 6 train at East 23rd Street: Only it was revealed that she made it all up to avoid getting in trouble with her parents for being out late and dating a Christian.
• A Black man claimed that KKK Trump supporters had hurled a brick through his window and set his car on fire: It was revealed that he committed these acts himself.
• A Texas mosque set on fire in an apparent hate crime: Though the perpetrator was revealed to be a regular of the mosque itself.
• A cryptic message that read AMKKK KILL on Williams College campus: Revealed to be the work of two liberal students and not white supremacists.
• An openly bisexual student at North Park University in Chicago claimed someone taped a sign that read ‘Back to hell! Trump!’: It was revealed that she made it all up.
• A note on a class whiteboard in Elon University that read ‘Bye Bye Latinos Hasta La Vista’: Revealed that a Latino student wrote the message.
• Louisiana student claims Trump supporters hit her with a bat and stole her hijab: It was discovered that she made it all up.

This is simply the tip of the iceberg of false hate crimes that people on the left are using as an excuse to assault others, and to justify those who do. For instance the founder of the Alt-Right, Richard Spencer, being punched on camera by a masked assailant, a member of the Black Bloc movement, has been applauded by people all other the left including celebrities to the point that when David Harbour used his acceptance speech for Stranger Things to advocate violence,

“…we will, as per Chief Jim Hopper, punch some people in the face when they seek to destroy the meek and the disenfranchised and the marginalized. And we will do it all with soul, with heart, and with joy.”

The crowd proceeded to give him a standing ovation. A man advocated joyful violence and people cheered and applauded, which to anyone with common sense should be scary and the sign of a very slippery slope.
Irregardless of what you think of Richard Spencer, (I personally detest the man,) unless he is physically attacking you he should not be physically attacked himself. Yet the left is disregarding this important point in order to silence those they disagree with.

In returning back to the parallel with the rise of the Nazi party we can see how Antifa are using the same exact tactics.
The Nazi party needed a common enemy in order to rally people to their cause and justify their attacks against those who were against them. They choose Communism and Judaism, and began a vigorous propaganda campaign in order to paint these two groups as the devil incarnate who were going to take away everything the people loved.
The present day left has begun the same, countless rumours and lies are being spread daily about the right and the Trump Administration, they range from the plausible though unlikely to the absurd. For instance the idea that Trump will reverse civil right rulings for LGBTQ people or that he’s going to forcibly round LGBTQ people up and put them in conversion camps against their will. Or that the Trump immigration executive order is a ‘Muslim-ban’ though it doesn’t mention Muslims once and excludes over 85% of the worlds Muslim population from the executive order. That Trump left countries off the ban due to business interests, when it was the Obama administration that defined the seven countries as hotspots of terrorist activity, making immigration from them to the US an increased danger regardless of the fact that no terrorist attack on the US that has resulted in US casualties was committed by people from those seven countries; this is because it’s a preventative measure not a reactionary one. The left has used these rumours, these falsehoods and lies to label those who disagree with them as fascists, hijacking the term for the history and emotion that surrounds it.
In the same way the Nazi party used their propaganda to justify their attacks, Atifa is using their propaganda as an excuse to use violence. In a frightening parallel to Kristallnacht, otherwise known as ‘The night of broken glass,’ where SA paramilitary forces carried out a pogrom against Jews alongside German civilians and German authorities looked on without intervening, I witnessed Antifa carry out a violent riot in order to prevent Milo Yiannopoulos from speaking, a riot that destroyed property and in which rioters assaulted people for having a different opinion whilst Berkeley authorities looked on with little to no interference. I also saw celebrities, those who carry great influence on people endorse the violence.
The fact the Antifa is using violence to silence the free speech of individuals that disagree with them is not just reminiscent of the tactics of the Nazi Party but mirrors them almost exactly.

The Antifa and the hard-left seem oblivious to their own intent of repeating history, suffering a shared delusion that they are the heroes in this story and not the villains they are showing themselves to be on an increasing basis.
I’ll conclude with a question.

How much time must pass and how much destruction must be wrought until cognitive dissonance ends up destroying them from within, or will they continue onwards in defiance of all logic and reason until they emerge from their immoral chrysalis as a fascist party in the present day?
